Pathway Plans: one place for the exam, the courses and the colleges
A Pathway Plan starts from one thing you already know — the exam you are preparing for, or a course you are considering — and keeps everything that hangs off it together: the courses that exam admits to, the colleges and campuses that offer them, and the notes you make along the way. Your dashboard follows the plan in focus, so the first thing you see each day is your own next step, not a menu.
What a plan holds
- One anchor. An entrance exam (a specific paper, for exams that have several) or a course. Sign-up creates your first plan from whichever you pick — no separate setup step.
- The things around it. Add courses, universities, colleges and campuses from anywhere in Explorer with one click. For exams that let you choose papers — CUET (UG), for instance — the plan also records which papers you will actually sit.
- A status and your notes. Mark a plan Shortlisted while you are weighing it and Finalised when you have decided. Both are reversible. Keep up to five plans and switch which one your dashboard follows at any time.
How the dashboard uses it
The plan in focus drives the dashboard: the courses connected to its exam, the institutions offering those courses, one small thing to do today, and the recommended next action — which is always about your plan first. Exploring other exams is offered, never forced.
Suggestions, without guesswork
While you build a plan, Rukmai suggests related items — the courses a given exam admits to, the campuses offering a given course — from the catalogue itself, using fixed rules rather than a model's opinion. A suggestion is never added until you choose it.
What it does not do
- It does not rank institutions for you or predict your chances. It keeps the options you are considering organised and connected.
- It only knows what is in the catalogue, which is deliberately incomplete in beta and grows with every data drop. If a course or campus is missing, the plan simply cannot include it yet.
