Explorer: exams, courses, colleges and universities, connected
Indian higher education is a graph, not a list: an exam admits to courses, a course is offered by colleges and campuses, a college is affiliated to a university that may or may not be the one awarding the degree. Explorer lets you walk that graph in any direction — from an exam to the courses it unlocks, from a course to who teaches it, from a university to its colleges and the exams they accept.
Four catalogues, one search
- Entrance exams — national and state exams, with papers shown separately where a candidate chooses between them. Filter by entry pathway (after Class 12, after a diploma, after a bachelor's) and by who conducts it.
- Courses — filter by degree level, admission type and course family, then see every institution offering each one.
- Universities — central, state, private and deemed, with Institutions of National Importance and Institutions of Eminence flagged; filter by state.
- Colleges & campuses — tens of thousands of rows, searchable by name and filterable by state and parent university.
One search box at the top of every page searches all four at once and links straight to the detail page.
Every detail page says how things connect
A course page lists the exams it admits through and the institutions that offer it. An institution page lists its courses and, for each, the admission route — which exam, and whether it is mandatory. A university page rolls up the routes of all its colleges and campuses. Where the relationship is a common source of confusion — an autonomous college that is still affiliated, a deemed-to-be university — the page links to the matching guide.
Honest where the data is thin
Rukmai shows what it has verified and says so when it has not. Course offerings and admission routes are added in reviewed batches from institution websites and official sources; an empty section means "not yet added", never "none exist". Anything you find can be saved to a list or added to a Pathway Plan in one click.
