Privacy Notice

Last updated: 22 August 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Braavos Infratech LLP, registered in India ("we", "us" or "our"), handles personal data in Rukmai. It applies to the marketing website and the student web app and should be read with our Terms & Conditions.

Information we process

Why we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, provide and personalise education discovery, maintain your Saved items and Plans, deliver account emails, respond to issue reports, improve the service through coarse usage measurements, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Rukmai’s AI explanation feature is optional and not currently enabled for students. If enabled, it would receive only public exam information and a coarse learner stage — never your name, email, date of birth, mobile number, saved plans, notes, or issue-report text — and explanations would be cached without a student identifier.

Cookies and security

Rukmai uses essential authentication and security cookies: an httpOnly refresh-cookie credential and a CSRF-protection cookie. The access token is kept in browser memory rather than localStorage. Rukmai also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and similar identifiers to measure how our site and app are used, and which Google may also use for its own advertising and ad-measurement purposes under Google's privacy policy.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including hashed passwords and refresh credentials, access controls, and authenticated APIs. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

When information may be disclosed

We disclose personal data only as needed to operate Rukmai: to Google for Google Analytics measurement and advertising features, and separately to Google when you choose Google sign-in; to the configured provider that sends transactional account or support email; and to service providers that process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or security, investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a genuine merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets.

Other than through Google Analytics, described above, we do not currently sell, rent, or share personal data with colleges, coaching providers, educational partners, advertisers, or data brokers. We do not conduct direct marketing by email, SMS, WhatsApp, calls, or push notifications.

If we propose a new non-essential marketing or college or partner-sharing purpose, we will explain it before the change and obtain a separate affirmative choice where required. We will not treat acceptance of these Terms or this Notice as marketing consent.

Your choices, retention and children

You can edit personal and education details in Profile and manage Saved items and Plans. Rukmai does not currently offer self-service data export or account deletion. Signed-in users can use Profile → Report an issue to request support, including account deactivation.

We retain account and service data while the account and service records are needed for the purposes described here, and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law, for security, or to resolve disputes. Support reports are handled through the support mailbox, not stored in the Rukmai product database.

Rukmai is intended for Class XI and later learners. If you are under 18, use it under the review and supervision of your parent or legal guardian. The signup acknowledgement is a self-attestation, not verified parental or guardian consent.
