Primary goal: The exam is conducted for admission to the Integrated First Degree (FD) programmes (B.E., M.Sc., and B.Pharm.) across the three Indian campuses of BITS Pilani (Pilani, K K Birla Goa, and Hyderabad). A BITSAT score also serves as an entrance pathway for entry into several 2+2 joint international collaborative dual degree programmes offered in partnership with foreign universities, including RMIT University (Australia), University at Buffalo (USA), Iowa State University (USA), Centrale Supélec (France), and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA).

Exam structure

Computer-Based Online Test (CBT). Duration is 3 hours (180 minutes) without any break and no sectional time limit. Objective, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with only one correct choice. The test consists of 130 questions. If a candidate answers all 130 questions without skipping, they can attempt 12 extra questions (3 each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Logical Reasoning).
