Primary goal

To evaluate candidates for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes across Amity University campuses. It serves as the primary screening process for applicants who do not hold valid national or state-level entrance test scores (such as JEE Main, NATA, CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, or CLAT).

Exam structure

The Amity Common Admission Test (AMCAT) selection structure is dynamic and tailored directly to the program of study chosen by the candidate: Written Test: Administered as a compulsory component for technical, science, and professional streams (such as B.Tech., Law, and Biotechnology programmes). Creative Test: Administered on the day of evaluation specifically for design-centric disciplines, including B.Sc. Fashion Design & Technology (FDT) and B.Sc. Interior Design (ID). Personal Interview (PI): Compulsory for all academic programmes, evaluating communication skills, attitude, and behavioral parameters. PIs may be conducted in-person on campus or remotely via online Zoom/video interaction. Mode of Exam: Remotely proctored online Computer-Based Test (CBT) taken from home, or proctored CBT at designated campus labs. Medium of Exam: English (except for specific language-centric degree exams). Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
